There is an old tradition of using the winter wedding flowers that represent the happiness of festivals. The major festivals during the winters are the Christmas and the Valentine's Day. The winter wedding flowers act as the best source of representing the love between the husband and the wife. Most of the Christmas brides choose red or burgundy flowers like roses, carnations, calla lilies with accents of white, green and silver clolors. These are considered to be the winter wedding flowers. Other choices for colors for a winter bride are white, blue, red and green. The white wedding flowers range from the pure ivory to pinkish white. Other winter wedding flowers include roses, tulips, freesias, mums and hellebores.
The other varieties of the winter wedding flowers range from blue flowers which come in aquamarine and deepest indigo color. Apart from this there is Iris which comes in different shades of blue. Red is also the most cherished color of the winters. There are red flowers namely Tulips, Maltese cross and geraniums. There are Day Lilies, Mums and Geraniums which come in the shades of pink, orange-red and maroon. Other red choices include bee bums, Royal Hellebores and roses, of course.
Green can also bring balance in all flower arrangements. Holly, with or without berries, is the classic choice for a winter wedding flower. Pine boughs and sprigs can be used as tabletop arrangements. Ferns add an ethnic look to decorations. Juniper branches can add fragrance and a feel of winter to any wedding.
